Alonso is an actor and performer born and raised in Brentwood, California (no, not the L.A. neighborhood). Alonso’s Brentwood is a small agricultural suburb of the San Francisco Bay Area. His childhood home is across the street from a literal cornfield with a great view of the beautiful Mount Diablo.
His love of music and theatre started by being introduced to old Hollywood movie musicals by his sister Clarissa. His favorites include Easter Parade, An American in Paris, and Funny Face. He also remembers singing along to Avril Lavigne and The Phantom of the Opera with his sister Sofie, singing Christine’s part of course.
Even though most everyone in his family, including both his brothers Hector and Cristian, who are both 5'10" (Alonso is 6'3") played several sports, Alonso pursued the performing arts, starting with singing in church choir and eventually giving theatre a try and absolutely loving it.
Alonso loved music so much that he started his college career as a Voice major, studying music theory, vocal technique, and choral singing, but switched majors after realizing acting and musical theatre are his true passions.
Alonso has recently graduated from the University of California, Irvine with his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre with Honors in Acting. In his free time, Alonso enjoys playing guitar and songwriting, constantly bettering his Spanish, singing harmonies in the car, trying to read more (and failing), and taking lots of selfies.
